Akali workers protest against party MLA

Former Akali MLA and District Planning Board chairman Vir Singh Lopoke is not only the target of the opposition parties and farmers leaders for his alleged involvement in the murder of Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Sadhu Singh Takhtupura,his own party leaders have trained guns against him.

District Akali Jatha spokesperson Prof Sarchand Singh on Thursday held a protest against Lopoke for interfering into the police’s functioning and supporting goons.

Sarchand,who was earlier associated with former minister and Majithia MLA Bikram Singh Majithia,showered praises at Majithia but added that the leaders like Lopoke were bringing a bad name to the party.
