Imran Zahid was never really interested in making a grand entry to celluloid. “The whole action-packed or chocolate-hero thing never attracted me. I’m happy running a journalism institute and doing some theatre,” he says. The story of slain student leader Chandrashekhar Prasad,however,caught his attention. “Prasad was a people’s person who twice became president of the JNU students union. His assassination in 1997 saw a huge student agitation,” he says about the person he is going to portray in Bhatt’s film Chandu. “Prasad was known for his fight against corruption. He started the tradition of handwritten posters in JNU and lived by poetry,passion and politics,” he says.
