3-day camp on astronomy and astrophysics gets underway

A number of educational institutes in Punjab are conducting programmes where students learn the fundamentals of science by performing various experiments,which inculcate scientific innovations among students. These were the views expressed by Neelam Gulati Sharma,Joint Director,Punjab State Council for Science and Technology after inaugurating the three-day camp on Astronomy and Astrophysics at Multani Mal Modi College,Patiala. She said the year 2009-10 has been declared as international year of astronomy as many astronomical events are falling this year.
