A total of 20,000 candidates appeared for the Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) across the Tricity today.
The examination was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at 39 centres set up across the Tricity.
Arundhati Sharma,one of candidates said,Most of the questions were predictable. Overall the exam was easy to attempt and the length of the paper was also appropriate.
Another candidate Amrita Chaudhary said,This years exam was relatively easier than last year. I had prepared sincerely,keeping in view the kind of questions which were there in last years sample paper.
The paper was divided into two parts,the first was held from 10 to 11.30 am,and the second paper from 1 to 2.30 pm.
The exam was first scheduled to be held on January 29. However,due to the Punjab Assembly elections,the exam was postponed to May 5.
