12-year-old hit by school bus

A 12-year-old Class VI student of Saint Johns School on Friday met with an accident with a school bus of his school at 11 pm.

A 12-year-old Class VI student of Saint Johns School on Friday met with an accident with a school bus of his school at 11 pm. Harpreet Singh,12,was rushed to the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH),Sector 16. Doctors at GMSH-16 referred him to PGIMER.

According to the doctors,Harpreet has broken ribs and other severe injures. “The doctors say that they might have to operate on him,” said Balwinder,Harpreet’s uncle.

The accident took place in front of Secret Heart School,Sector 26. Harpreet was on his way home. He was on his bicycle when he was hit by a bus of Saint Johns School,Sector 26.

As per the police officials,Harpreet was hit by the bus. “The bus ran over Harpreet and he sustained serious injures to his torso,” said an official.

The Police has registered a case against the driver of the bus on charges of negligent driving.

Harpreet,a resident of Bapu Dham Colony,is an EWS (economically weaker section) student. His father works as a driver in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
