This is not the first time an incident like this has happened in the state. On April 6, a helicopter carrying former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa had to abort landing in Jewargi town of Kalaburagi district due to littered plastic bags flying near the helipad. The pilot kept hovering in the air until the authorities cleaned up the area and ensured that it was safe for landing.
