VMC sends ‘cleared’ projects for summit

The Vadodara Municipal Corporation will sign MoUs for as many as 57 projects,mainly commercial and residential,worth Rs 3,973 crore during the Vibrant Gujarat summit starting Wednesday.

Projects involve Narayan Realty,which will invest Rs 500 cr; InOrbit (Rs 250 cr); Winworld (Rs 250 cr); Cube Construction (Rs 120 cr); L N Garden (Rs 200 cr); BRG Group (Rs 200 cr); Ketan Realty (Rs 150 cr); Guruprasad Infrastructure (Rs 117 cr); Shantiya Residency (Rs 125 cr); Pratham Enterprise (Rs 125 cr); Chetan Properties (Rs 125 cr) and Shrinathji Residency (Rs 100 cr).

Deputy Municipal Commissioner C M Makwana said this time they have proposed only those projects which have already been passed by the civic body at different levels.

“The designs of all the 57 projects have been passed and there is no chance that they will not be implemented. The advantage these projects have is,that they will be put on the fast track once they are part of the 2011 Vibrant Gujarat summit,” said Makwana.
