VERY FILMY

When a film has two heroines there’s bound to be some clawing around for who gets the meatier role.

Sister Bonding
When a film has two heroines there’s bound to be some clawing around for who gets the meatier role. But Rituparno Ghosh found the perfect formula to make sure there were no ego hassles from his heroines. He cast Bong sisters Riya and Raima Sen for his next film Noukadubi. Apparently Riya realised from the beginning that her role less prominent than the other but chose to overlook it since it was just her sister at the other end. And Raima on the other hand made sure Riya was well taken care of on the sets “Raima pampered me silly. Right from organising the best makeup vans and acquainting me with the staff in Kolkata, she was always a phone call away and kept everything prepared for me. Sometimes it felt like my first film,” Riya tells us.

Foodie on the sets
Arshad Warsi loves making the audience smile but the actor is also known for making his sure his colleagues are happy during shoots. No matter what he’s shooting for,Warsi always carries around a lot of food and drinks. After the shoot, his room is always the party place, with everyone coming in to relax, eat and drink after a tough day of work.

Encore
We all still remember Amitabh Bachchan’s white kurta and pink pagdi look from the classic song Pag Ghunghroo in Namak Halaal. It looks like director

Sujoy Ghosh wants us to relive that image in his film Aladin. Bachchan will don an identical combination as he dances to the peppy music of O Re Sawariya in the film. Ghosh tells us that the look was not intentional. “It is purely a coincidence but it definitely shows how the actor has impacted our minds over the years through his cult performances,” he says.
