Two die in explosion at Reliance’s Jamnagar refinery

Several people are reported to have been injured in the explosion,but there has been no official confirmation about their number. “Two persons have been killed in an explosion which occurred at the hydrogen plant,which is a utility for the crude oil refinery,” said sources.

“Two employees were seriously injured and succumbed to their injuries on the way to hospital. All refining related operations in the RIL plant and the recently commissioned export-oriented RPL refinery continue normally. We are investigating the cause of the accident,” said a Reliance spokesperson.
