Social activist Medha Patkar arrested,released on personal bond

A Metropolitan Magistrate of Ahmedabad had issued bailable warrant against Patkar after she failed to turn up for a hearing in connection with a case under Section 500 of CrPC.

On the other hand,Patkar claimed that the two police men who had come to her office did not inform her either about the case or arrest. She said that two cops simply asked her to sign some papers and arrested her.
