Six senior cops promoted, 9 new IPS officers get Gujarat postings

Raju Bhargava of the 1995 batch, currently posted as Additional Director General (ADGP) of Armed Units, was promoted to DGP-rank and his cadre post was also upgraded accordingly.

Four other IPS officers of the 2007 batch were promoted to the rank of Inspector General (IG) of which three are on central deputation and one is posted in Gujarat.

Divya Mishra is currently serving as Additional Deputy Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB), Deepan Bhadran is currently posted as Director in the Senior Executive Cadre of the Cabinet Secretariat, and Saurabh Tolumbia is Advisor (Security) at Gas Authority of India Limited.

The fourth officer, PV Rathod, currently serving as DIG of CID (Crime), was also promoted to IG rank and his cadre post was also upgraded to reflect the same.

Postings of 2022, 2023 batch officers

The state government on Monday also granted postings to nine IPS officers of the 2022 and 2023 batches as Additional Superintendents of Police (ASP).

From the 2022 batch, Ankita Mishra was posted as ASP of Aslali in Ahmedabad Rural, Ghanshyam Gautam in Bhavnagar Rural of that district, and Akshay Mahendra Engineer as ASP to Mandvi in Surat Rural.

From the 2023 batch, Harsh Sharma was appointed ASP to Bodeli in Chhota Udepur, Gautam Vivekanandan to Mundra in Kutch, Vedika Bihani to Surendranagar Division of that district, Naveen Chakravarti Repudi as ASP to Jasdan in Rajkot Rural, Vikas Yadav to Santrampur in Mahisagar and Dr Sandip T to Dharampur in Valsad.
