Protesting the ‘Success‘

Terming the Garib Kalyan Melas as huge success,Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the scheme introduced by the state government is the topic of discussion in the entire country. “The success of garib melas organised by the state is being talked about in the entire country,” Modi said at a Garib Kalyan Mela organised by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in Odhav.

He said benefits worth Rs 2,700 crore have been directly handed over to the poor people in the state in 50 garib melas .

“This government does not see the poor as vote machine or vote bank. We see the poor as human beings who have been deprived of their dues and therefore we go to them to give them their dues,” Modi said.
