Probe panel summons Asarams son,7 others

Justice (retired) D K Trivedi Commission,that has been constituted by the state government to probe into the circumstances under which two children from Asaram Ashram run gurukul went missing and found dead in July 2008,has summoned eight persons from the ashram including Narayan Sai,son of Asaram Bapu.

Justice (retired) D K Trivedi Commission,that has been constituted by the state government to probe into the circumstances under which two children from Asaram Ashram run gurukul went missing and found dead in July 2008,has summoned eight persons from the ashram including Narayan Sai,son of Asaram Bapu. Narayan Sai has been summoned on August 7.

Sources close to the development said the Commission has summoned Sai and seven others from the ashram on different dates starting from July 23.

Two minor boys from the Asaram Ashram run Gurukul in Motera were found dead under mysterious circumstances in July 2008 after they went missing from the gurukul. The deaths had witnessed an unprecedented public agitation against the ashram with allegations of the two boys felling prey to some exorcist there attempting to attain black magic.

Following the public protest,the state government had appointed the Commission to probe into the issues related to the two deaths. Asaram and his son have been resisting deposition before the Commission with their lawyers vehemently opposing summons to them until all the witnesses related to the issue depose.
