Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 20.8 km long corridor of Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-II from Sector-1 Station in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar on Monday, according to an official statement.
The phase-II project includes eight stations, with a 15.4 km viaduct from Motera to Sector 1 and 6 stations (covering Gujarat National Law University, Raysan, Randesan, Dholakuva Circle, Infocity and Sector 1) and 5.4 km Gift City link line along with two stations (PDEU and Gift City). The project was built at Rs 3,284 crore.
The phase-II project extends from the North-South Metro Corridor of Ahmedabad Metro Phase I.
According to the information, the mainline is an extension of APMC to the Motera line and extends to Mahatma Mandir, while the branch line starts at GNLU and ends at GIFT City.
