In recent months, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has batted like a T20 batsman and completed four works including the new Parliament building inauguration, Chandrayaan-3 mission, G20 Summit and passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill, said Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Ahmedabad Saturday.
“In the last two months, Narendrabhai (PM Modi) batted like a T20 (cricket player) and improved the perception of the country. Since becoming the Prime Minister, Narendrabhai has rejuvenated ISRO and inspired scientists in a way that India excels in the space sector. Friends, all of you, me and the entire country and world has seen the Tricolour flying on the Moon. It is a big honour for us,” Shah said after commissioning and laying foundation stones (21 projects) for works worth more than Rs 1,600 crore for the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority.
“Narendrabhai completed the New Parliament, Chandrayaan, G20 and Women’s Reservation Bill in just one quarter. I can say with confidence that it would usually take 50 years to complete one such work and he completed four works in three months. This shows that under the leadership of Narendrabhai, the BJP government; the NDA government, has sworn to provide India its rightful place in the world, Shah added.
The Union minister also narrated how PM Modi contributed to the passing of the Women’s Reservation Bill. “This Bill has been lying pending for the last several years. Narendrabhai built a new Parliament and inaugurated it on Ganesh Chathurthi. The first Bill to be passed in this new Parliament was the Women’s Reservation Bill.
