Man kills nephew over free meal

The city police today arrested a resident of Amraiwadi for killing his nephew late on Wednesday. The police said the accused,Raju Rana,has confessed to killing Hira Rana.

The city police today arrested a resident of Amraiwadi for killing his nephew late on Wednesday. The police said the accused,Raju Rana,has confessed to killing Hira Rana. He was booked under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code for murder.

The police said,Raju was unhappy with his nephew for regularly going to the Ram-Roti eatery for free meals.

When Raju returned from work on Wednesday night,he found that Hira had gone to the eatery for meal. After the youth returned home,the two had an argument over the issue,and in a fit of anger,Raju stabbed Hira on the chest.

Amraiwadi Inspector D B Raulji said: Raju told him that he should stop going to Ram-Roti as it is below their dignity. On this,Hira started abusing him and the duo got into a scuffle. Hira was later taken to a hospital where he as declared dead on arrival.
