Former Tripura Governor Kamla Beniwal (82) will be sworn in as 23rd governor of Gujarat on Friday afternoon,according to Gandhinagar Information Department.

Former Tripura Governor Kamla Beniwal (82) will be sworn in as 23rd governor of Gujarat on Friday afternoon,according to Gandhinagar Information Department. Acting Chief Justice of Gujarat will administer the oath of office at Gandhinagar. Beniwal will be the first woman governor of Gujarat in the last 30 years. She is a veteran Congress leader from Rajasthan. She was the deputy chief minister during Ashok Gehlot’s last term as CM.
