The Gujarat BJP began a two-day executive meeting on Saturday to discuss the partys performance in the Lok Sabha polls and prepare a strategy for the forthcoming municipal elections in Junagadh. This is the first executive body meet of the state unit since the Lok Sabha polls this year.
A unanimous resolution in favour of GUJCOC (Gujarat Control of Organised Crime) Bill was also passed on Saturday.
We have passed a resolution on GUJCOC Bill,which has been returned by the Central government recently, said party general secretary Jayanti Barot.
He said Gujarat needs a tough law to fight terrorism. Meanwhile,according to state BJP general secretary,Vijay Rupani,the party leaders will deliberate on a range of issues including performance in the Lok Sabha polls,Junagadh corporation elections and organisational matters in the state.
Moreover,the party will also chalk out a strategy for elections in seven assembly segments,which will be held in two months.
