Gujarat Confidential: No more forced purchases

Surat District Education Officer Bhagirathsinh Parmar has instructed all the schools in the district to not pressurise the parents to purchase school stationery and uniform only from fixed shops. Parmar stated that if any of the schools is found doing such type of practice, strict action will be taken against them. Surat DEO Parmar told The Indian Express, “We have got complaints from the Surat Stationery Association against a few schools being involved in such practices. We will send our teams on a surprise visit and verify if any school is found guilty, we will take strict actions.”
