Devotees taking their new vehicles to temples for blessings is not new, but a rare sight was witnessed recently at Kashtbhanjan Hanuman Temple in Botad district’s Salangpur area. A devotee of Lord Hanuman flew his new helicopter from Ahmedabad to the Hanuman temple in Salangpur, nearly 150 km from Ahmedabad last Saturday. The devotee, who had gone with his family for a darshan and wanted to seek blessings for his new purchase, landed on the temple helipad. The temple has two helipads for devotees flying down for a visit. After the ‘vahan puja’, the owner even took rounds over the temple premises in his chopper, temple authorities said.
