After the Kshatriya Asmita Andolan, during the Lok Sabha election with a pronounced anti-BJP stance, some Kshatriya leaders have now floated a new organisation for the community while giving a call for unity. The new body will be known as Samast Kshatriya Shakti Asmita Manch (All Kshatriya Pride Forum).
It will be headed by Vijayrajsinh Gohil, the head of the royal family of erstwhile princely state of Bhavnagar. The forum will be formally launched during an event in Ahmedabad on September 20.

Turf war
Of late, the local BJP leaders in Gondal have started calling Jyotiradityasinh Jadeja alias Ganesh, son of Gondal MLA Geetaba Jadeja and former MLA Jayrajsinh Jadeja ‘Ganesh Gondal’. Jyotiraditya is presently in judicial custody after being arrested for allegedly assaulting a person from the Dalit community in Junagadh in May this year.
Similarly, some have started referring to Rajdeepsinh Jadeja, grandson of late Gondal MLA Mahipatsinh Jadeja as Rajdeepsinh ‘Ribda’. Mahipatsinh, who was a native of Ribda village in Gondal taluka and Jayrajsinh had fought pitched battles in political and social arena for dominance with Jayrajsinh eventually prevailing.
Mahitpasinh’s son Aniruddhsinh, who is father of Rajdeepsinh, and Jayrajsinh often spar on political and law and order subjects.
