Gujarat confidential: Anandiben Sighted

Uttar Pradesh Governor and former Gujarat chief minister Anandiben Patel is on a tour of Gujarat. She was sighted with two other noted Patidar leaders of north Gujarat – Administrator of Diu, Daman & Dadra Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep, Praful Patel, as well as former deputy CM Nitin Patel – in a photograph uploaded on social media by Nitin. The attached caption said that he met Anandiben and Praful during a tour of Somnath. In another post, former minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama posted a photograph with Anandiben. Chudasama said that Anandiben had visited him to inquire about his health after the former underwent a bypass surgery.

Lighter Session

As the Gujarat Assembly conducted a mock session for the MLAs to get accustomed to digital operations, Speaker Shankar Chaudhary and Congress leader Shailesh Parmar shared light moments. In reply to a question, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi gave an answer during the mock Question Hour. In a supplementary comment to the question, Parmar congratulated the Speaker for making the Assembly digital. He then expressed “satisfaction” over the answer given by Sanghavi. The Speaker appreciated the comment with “waah” and then added with a laugh, “You will express satisfaction in this (mock session). But probably will not do so tomorrow.” The three-day monsoon session will begin on Wednesday.
