Under CM Patel’s tenure in the last three years, Gujarat police has seized 65,789.74 kg of drugs worth Rs 5,426.25 crore, a government release said.

“During the Air India plane crash on June 12, the Chief Minister demonstrated compassionate, swift, and decisive leadership. By promptly mobilising all state agencies for rescue, medical aid and support, Gujarat delivered an exemplary response to the crisis, reflecting the state’s administrative efficiency and profound commitment to human life,” the release said of the June 12 AI crash.
Gujarat will set up six new zone-wise Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) units to curb drug sales, distribution and production. Under Project VISWAS (Video Integration and State-Wide Advanced Security), over 7,000 CCTV cameras have been installed, helping solve over 14,000 cases in three years across the state.
Further, the state police launched ‘GP-DRASTI’ (Gujarat Police – Drone Response and Aerial Surveillance Tactical Intervention) project to strengthen state security by ensuring a delay-free response.
In the health sector, 1.15 crore digital health cards have been issued to school students, so far. With 465 kidney transplants, the state ranks first in the country and also became the first state in India to launch a Tribal Genome Sequencing Project for the health of tribal people.

To identify and prevent potential student dropouts, the Education Department has introduced an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Early Warning System (EWS) at the beginning of the 2025-26 academic session.
In 2025, nine municipalities were granted municipal corporation status, bringing the total number of municipal corporations to 17.
Under Swachh Survekshan 2024–25, Ahmedabad has been declared as the cleanest city. In 2024, Surat was ranked first in the country which was among the top three cities in 2025.
