Goods train derails,rail services affected

Train services at Viramgam in the Ahmedabad division of Western Railway were disrupted on Sunday afternoon following derailment of four coaches of a goods train heading toward Pipava. The incident occurred at 1.50 pm causing a major block,forcing the railway authorities to divert nine trains via Mehsana.

Due to the incident and the consequent change of route,trains going via Viramgam on Sunday were delayed by around three hours in reaching their destinations,railway officials said. A team of senior officials from Ahmedabad rushed to the spot with a relief car,said the officials.
