The three laws were passed by Parliament in the Winter Session, followed by a nod from President Droupadi Murmu, last December.At the meeting of the Committee of Secretaries (CoS) on Wednesday, Gujarat Chief Secretary Raj Kumar instructed senior secretaries to be prepared for the implementation of three criminal laws — Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Act — set to come into effect from July 1. Sources said the chief secretary instructed the officials to prepare for the smooth implementation of the three laws, which will replace Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code and Indian Evidence Act.
