A Casual labourer,earning his livelhood through odd jobs,allegedly set himself on fire at his house in Paldi in the early hours of Monday. The police said the youth was reportedly upset with his life. Hemendra Shah (30),worked in the neighbourhood housing societies as a car washer. At times,he also worked as a driver and a housekeeper. Inspector J B Gadhvi said: Shah stayed with his mother and brother and was quite young. We suspect some family problem or financial issue depressed Shah and made him take this extreme step. Although the family has denied having any issues with Shah,the neighbours have alleged that there were family disputes in the household. Shah was taken to the V S Hospital where he died within an hours time. The police have registered a case of accidental death and taken up further investigations.
