Blackout imposed in most parts of Gujarat’s Kutch; Jamnagar on high alert
Officials of the Gujarat government said, on condition of anonymity, that a blackout has been effected in a phased manner in the border district of Kutch since the air strikes from Pakistan were reported in Jaisalmer and other parts of Rajasthan.

Following the attempted air strikes by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan earlier in the day, a blackout was imposed in most parts of Kutch district in Gujarat late on Thursday evening, senior officials confirmed.
Officials of the Gujarat government said, on condition of anonymity, that a blackout has been effected in a phased manner in the border district of Kutch since the air strikes from Pakistan were reported in Jaisalmer and other parts of Rajasthan.
A high-ranking official said, “The blackout was first imposed in Naliya, followed by Nakhtarana and Bhuj. Many other parts of the district close to the Pakistan border have also been blacked out in a phased manner on Thursday evening after the air strikes began. Residents have been advised to stay indoors and not use any illumination.”
The official added that along with Bhuj, Jamnagar city in Jamnagar district is also on high alert following the attempted air strikes in the Northern states on Thursday evening.
