BJP board to discuss candidates from Oct 30

The State Parliamentary Board of BJP will meet for five days from October 30 to finalise names of candidates for the Assembly elections to be held on December 13 and 17.

Our state parliamentary board under the chairmanship of BJP president R C Faldu will meet to analyse reports of observers who had gone to different districts, BJP spokesperson Jagdish Bhavsar said.

Observers who went to listen to ticket seekers from 182 constituencies are preparing their reports. Chief Minister Narendra Modi will also be present at the meeting, he added.

There are more than a dozen contenders from the BJP for almost all the 182 seats,party sources said.

‘Given stale food, locked up’: Truck cleaner on ‘abduction’ horror at Khedkar residence

A truck cleaner in Navi Mumbai was rescued by the police after being abducted by the father of a sacked IAS officer. The victim was held captive, given stale food, and threatened with murder. The accused demanded compensation for their damaged car and threatened to kill the victim if not paid. The accused have been charged with extortion and destruction of evidence.
