‘Asaram can be questioned’

State Director General of Police S S Khandwawala has said that Asaram Bapu can be interrogated if the need arises. Asaram has been accused in an attempt to murder and criminal conspiracy case by one of his former followers,Raju Chandak.

“Investigations against Asaram are on and the law entitles the police to interrogate the person against whom the complaint is filed,” said Khandwawala.

Chandak had filed an FIR against Asaram and two others alleging that two unidentified persons had shot at him in the Ramnagar locality of Sabarmati on December 5.

Chandak has accused Asaram as the mastermind behind the attack.
