Another IIM-A professor joins Adani board

The Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL),a flagship company of the Adani Group,has appointed IIM-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) professor Ravindra Dholakia on the board of directors,the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday.

Dholakia,appointed as an independent director,is the second faculty from the country’s top B-school to make it to the Adani Group after professor G Raghuram,who was appointed on the board of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) last week.

Dholakia,who is a faculty of Economics and public systems at IIM Ahmedabad since 1985,also functions as non-executive independent director on the board of APSEZ. He is also a visiting faculty at the city-based Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management.

He was the RBI Chair Professor of Industrial Economics at IIIM-A from May 2002 to April 2008.
