30 senior HAL executives to undergo course at IIM-A

A one-year Leadership Development Programme by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to groom its executives was launched at the Indian Institute of Management,Ahmedabad (IIM-A) on Sunday. The programme,which will have 30 HAL’s senior executives,was launched by Additional Secretary,Defence Production,Ashok Kumar Gupta. The executives will be groomed by professors of IIM-A,one of the premier business institutions of the country. “It is a rare opportunity for HAL executives on one hand and IIM on the other to understand the needs of the defence sector,” Gupta said. “We need to develop leaders hip in PSUs and competency mapping is vital factor. HAL’s initiative should bring about positive changes in all aspects of its functioning,” he said.

HAL,under the management of the Ministry of Defence,is one of Asia’s largest aerospace company.
