15 lakh students from across country registered for National STEM Quiz 4.0

The GUJCOST has curated a quiz bank-both for senior level and junior level with over 7,000 questions across various STEM disciplines to assist students in their preparation.

The Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST), working under the aegis of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of Gujarat, recorded a registration of 15,01,249 students from various boards and states across the country for ‘National STEM Quiz 4.0’.

“Designed to foster curiosity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students from Class IX to XII, the National STEM Quiz 4.0 provides a unique platform for young minds to engage in quiz-based learning. This initiative not only strengthens their knowledge in STEM disciplines but also prepares them to be the future leaders and innovators of our nation,” the GUJCOST said in a release.

This year, the quiz is being organised in two levels: Junior Level for Class IX and X and Senior Level for Class XI and XII. P Bharathi, Secretary, DST formally launched the programme on September 19,2025 and registrations were opened till December 15,2025.

“The overwhelming participation from students’ nationwide highlights the crucial role of STEM education in shaping our country’s future. Through this quiz, GUJCOST aims to spark a passion for science and technology, encouraging students to explore new frontiers and push the boundaries of innovation,” GUJCOST said. .

The National STEM Quiz 4.0, GUJCOST has been organised in collaboration with Space Applications Centre (SAC-ISRO), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), and National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar. Gujarat Science City serves as the venue partner and Gujarat Informatics Limited (GIL) as the technology partner.

The GUJCOST has curated a quiz bank-both for senior level and junior level with over 7,000 questions across various STEM disciplines to assist students in their preparation. Registered students will first participate in a mock test, followed by an online preliminary test in January 2026. The top performer of the preliminary round will advance to the zonal rounds and national grand finale at the Gujarat Science City in February 2026.
