10 held with undeclared valuables

Customs officials have arrested 10 persons from the Sardar Vallabhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad and seized undeclared valuables worth about Rs 8 lakh. They reportedly arrived at the airport at 7 am on Sunday in a flight from Bangkok.

“Apart from electronic goods,the passenger had concealed some medicines,perfumes and other items in a TV box,” said a top customs official who did not wish to be named. Undeclared foreign currency was also found concealed in the box,he added.
