Gold Silver Rates Today (October 27): Gold prices remained unchanged on Friday in India as domestic equities soared, snapping its six-day losing streak. However, the precious metal is poised for third consecutive weekly gain today as the ongoing Israel-Hamas war kept investors drawn towards safe haven.

The price of 24-carat gold remained unchanged at Rs 61,960 per 10 grams, while for 22-carat, the rate remained unchanged at 56,800 per 10 grams.

Spot gold edged 0.1 per cent higher to $1,986.76 per ounce by 0341 GMT. US gold futures were steady at $1,996.80.

The yellow metal has jumped nearly 9 per cent as investors sought refuge from the potential fallout of the Israel-Hamas war that escalated earlier this month. However, the lingering prospects of higher US interest rates have kept gold rates below the $2,000 ceiling last breached in May.

On the other hand, silver fell by Rs 500 per kg today, and is selling at Rs 74,600. In Chennai, silver is selling at Rs 77,500 per kg; in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata, the precious metal is selling at Rs 74,600 per kg; and in Bangalore, silver is selling at Rs 73,750 per kg today.

In other metals, spot silver steadied at $22.84 per ounce, platinum rose 0.5 per cent to $904.71 and palladium added 0.2 per cent to $1,135.65.
