Shriya Saran: A Pan-Indian Presence Shriya Saran Bhatnagar, a prominent figure in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema, began her acting journey after abandoning her aspirations to become a dancer. Her debut in the Telugu film Ishtam (2001) was followed by commercial success with Santosham (2002). She solidified her position with notable roles in Telugu films like Nenunnanu (2004) and Chatrapathi (2005), alongside ventures in Hindi and Tamil cinema. Her Hindi debut, Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003), paved the way for critical recognition in Awarapan (2007). Simultaneously, her Tamil debut, Enakku 20 Unakku 18 (2003), preceded her role in the blockbuster Sivaji (2007), then the highest-grossing Tamil film.
