SC Collegium recommends names of six judges for appointment as HC chief justices

Justice Soumen Sen, the current Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya, is recommended for transfer as the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court. Justice Nitin Jamdar, the incumbent Chief Justice of the Kerala HC, is due to retire on January 9.

The names of the three judges — Karnataka High Court Chief Justice N V Anjaria, Gauhati High Court Chief Justice Vijay Bishnoi and Bombay High Court judge Justice A S Chandurkar — were recommended by the SC Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India B R Gavai for elevation to the apex court on May 26.
