Salman Khan is one of the most popular actors in India today. Salman is also a producer and television personality. Salman is the son of renowned scriptwriter Salim Khan. His brothers Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan are also actors in the film industry. Salman saw a string of flops in the early 2000s. The actor reinvented himself with 2009 movie Wanted. Directed by Prabhu Deva, Wanted became a turning point in the actor's career. Salman achieved greater stardom with his roles in Dabangg (2010), Bodygaurd (2011), Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) and Sultan (2016). His relationships with ex-girlfriends Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif gained both media and public attention. Salman is one of the most eligible bachelors in the country today. The actor has faced legal troubles with -2002 hit-and-run case and Blackbuck Hunting. He has also hosted popular television reality show Bigg Boss. New Delhi, Feb 22 (ANI): Bollywood’s dabangg Salman Khan recently won the Best Actor Viewer’s Choice award for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ at the Zee Cine Awards. The superstar, however, did not accept the award as he feels the younger generation needs to be given a chance. At the red carpet of the award ceremony, Salman said that he has been in the entertainment industry for more than 25 years and added that these awards do not hold any importance in his life. The actor, who has a massive fan following in India, also expressed his desire to not be nominated in awards shows. Salman’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ got four nominations at the 2016 Zee Cine Awards. The actor is currently filming for his sports drama ‘Sultan’ in which he will be seen in the role of a wrestler.

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Friday issued notice to actor Salman Khan on the Maharashtra government's petition challenging the Bombay High Court verdict, where the actor was acquitted of all the charges in 2002 hit-and-run case. Chief Standing Council of Maharashtra Government Nishant Kanteshwarkar said the apex court issued notice after hearing all the arguments from both sides. Nishant said they demanded that Salman's driver's testimony should be heard in the matter.

Salman has achieved stardom which only few could dream of. However, awards are something where the 50-year-old actor still needs to prove his mettle. Filmfare Awards are considered the Oscars of India and Salman has been very unlucky when it comes to winning the Best Actor. Salman has been nominated nine times for the prestigious award in his career spanning more than 26 years, but has not been lucky to take the black lady home. Salman has so far won only one Filmfare Award that too for the best Supporting Actor male for Karan Johar’s ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ in 1998. At the recent 61st Filmfare Awards, Salman’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ scooped two nominations for the Best Story and Best Actor. However, the actor was unlucky yet again as the Kabir Khan directorial bagged the Best Story award. We really hope the actor gets his due very soon.

The actor said he was surprised to see a show organised for body builders at such a big scale and that it encouraged him to do a show of his own.Salman, who will be seen playing the role of a wrestler in his upcoming film Sultan, looked quite impressed with the participants and the craze people have for body building.The three days expo started on January 8 and concluded on January 10.
