Designer addresses Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai getting trolled for weight: ‘She has a baby, give her a break’

The stylist further added, “It’s very wrong to just target somebody because you have put in weight. It’s difficult to lose weight. I have been trying for the longest time, I don’t seem to even lose an inch. She has had a baby, give her a break. Come one! Maybe, she is happy in her skin. Who are we to decide?”

Recalling his experience of working with Aishwarya, Ashley shared, “Just because she has been a Miss World and an actress, it doesn’t mean that she has to have a 26 inch waist. That’s what is in our mind. I always tell people, ‘Wear what suits you and do what your heart says’. In her head, if she thinks that’s right, then I think that’s great. I love her. She is lovely. She is one of the nicest people I have worked with. I have done movies and ads with her. She’s been very nice. I did work with her during Miss World, gave her a lot of sarees. I did her Miss Asia outfit. I think she is one of the nicest people to work with.”

He also revealed that even Salman Khan doesn’t deserve the trolling around his weight, and the actor is one of the most wonderful people to work with. “I have done many movies with him, I have worked with him for 14 years. Our first film was Wanted. He is a wonderful person to work with, because he just likes his comfort and to be easygoing. If you give him that, then he is most happy. He is a nice soul. To his family, I am family to them. That is something you find rarely in a lot of actors. You become friends with them, but you don’t become family to them,” he said.
