Rekha Verma biography

Rekha Verma is a political leader from Uttar Pradesh and a member of the Bhartiya Janata Party. She is the incumbent Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh’s Dharuhara Lok Sabha constituency. She was born on May 20, 1973, in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Following the unfortunate passing of her husband due to a heart attack in December 2013, she faced a challenging period but found strength in continuing his legacy by joining the BJP and seeking a Lok Sabha ticket from the Dhaurahra constituency.

She went on to win the 2014 Lok Sabha election and made her debut in the lower house of the Indian Parliament. She retained her seat once again in the 2019 Lok Sabha election, defeating Arshad Ahmed Siddiqui of BSP. Her political journey continued as she assumed office as a National Vice President of the BJP on January 11, 2019.
