Even as the district health officials have sent a proposal to the state government recommending the suspension of Dr Mohan Nagne,who was sentenced to three years’ rigorous imprisonment for illegal sex determination,the state government has now appointed vigilance squads comprising retired police officers,doctors and lawyers to implement the Pre-Conception and Pre Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act.
