Indian Railways (IR) has implemented various measures to ensure a smooth travel experience for both reserved and unreserved passengers during the festive rush.

PM Modi to flag off new Varanasi-Delhi train on January 22

Varanasi, Jan 21 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Mahamana Express, which will run triweekly from Varanasi to New Delhi, on January 22. PM Modi will flag off this train on his ground visit to Varanasi. Northern Railway Chief Area Manager Ravi P Chaturvedi said the train has all the modern facilities, including dustbins and bio-toilets in every coach. Besides, AC coaches are equipped with LED screen for passengers’ entertainment.

Dense fog delays trains in north India

New Delhi, Jan 08 (ANI): Neeraj Kumar, Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO) of Northern Railways stated that all five mandals of Northern Railway have been affected by intense fog on Friday. He further stated that 56 trains for Delhi are late while 9 trains have been rescheduled. Kumar added that the frequency of 26 trains have been restored which were minimised earlier.
