Kiran Choudhry

Kiran Choudhry's entry into active politics followed the tragic death of her husband in 2005, when she decided to carry forward his legacy by contesting elections. She initially aligned with the Congress party, where she quickly rose through the ranks, earning a reputation for her dedication to her constituents and her ability to address key issues such as rural development, health, and education. Over the years, she served in various ministerial roles, including Public Health Engineering and Social Justice and Empowerment, where she was known for her hands-on approach and commitment to improving public welfare.

In a significant political shift, Choudhry joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), bringing with her decades of experience and a strong support base, particularly among the Jat community. Her move to the BJP has been seen as a strategic alignment with the party's growing influence in Haryana. Within the BJP, she has continued to champion issues related to women's rights, social justice, and rural infrastructure, making her a key player in the party’s plans for the 2024 elections.
