According to Shah's lawyer Umair Ronga, the editor of online portal 'The Kashmir Walla' was granted bail by a special court designated under the National Investigation Agency Act, 2008

After being booked in different cases by three districts — Pulwama, Shopian and Srinagar — Shah was subsequently booked under the PSA. This is the fifth case in which he has been booked and will be questioned at the JIC.

Currently, he is lodged at the Safakadal police station in Srinagar and his lawyer is reportedly contemplating to move another bail application.

Police said on Saturday that Shah was wanted in three cases for “glorifying terrorism, spreading fake news and inciting general public for creating law and order situations”. He was arrested after being called in for questioning on Tuesday and again on Friday.
