Andre Russell

West Indies allrounder Andre Russell made his international debut in a Test against Sri Lanka in 2010. A year later, he was called to West Indies World Cup squad in 2011, where he debuted against Ireland. The right-arm pacer, who is known for his wicket-taking abilities and hard hitting batting style, went on to show his talent with consistent performances in the T20 leagues all over the world. In the first edition of Caribbean Premier League, the right-handed batsman slammed 203 runs at a strike rate of 189.71 for Jamaica Tallawahs to the title after smashing 180ball 33 in the final. He carried on his form in IPL, and has smashd 574 runs in 34 matches with a strike rate of 173.41. His inconsistent record for West Indies has seen him being in and out for the national side, but he has become a match-winner in IPL, and hence was retained by Kolkata Knight Riders for IPL 2018.
