ABOUT Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar is an Indian actor and producer who has appeared in Hindi movies. He has studied martial arts in Bangkok. His original name was Rajiv Bhatia. Akshay was born to Hari Om Bhatia and Aruna Bhatia in Amritsar. Akshay's father was a military officer. He is married to Twinkle Khanna, daughter of yesteryear star Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. The couple has two children. Akshay is supposed to be a protective father. The actor has appeared on the world's highest paid celebrities list. Akshay started his career doing action movies including Waqt Hamara Hai (1993), Mohra (1994) and Elaan (1994). Akshay's comic roles in movies including Hera Pheri (2000), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Garam Masala (2005), Bhagam Bhag (2006), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), and Singh Is Kinng (2008) met with love from the audience. The actor has won two Filmfare awards and is also the recipient of Padma Shri awarded by Government of India. Akshay has hosted show Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi.
