Abhay Singh Chautala biography

Abhay Singh Chautala, a senior leader of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), is gearing up for the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections. He is contesting from the Ellenabad seat again.

As the son of former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala and grandson of Chaudhary Devi Lal, Abhay carries forward a powerful political legacy in the state. Known for his assertive leadership style, he has been a prominent face of the INLD, especially after the split with the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) led by his nephew Dushyant Chautala.

Abhay Chautala has represented the Ellenabad constituency in the Haryana Legislative Assembly for several terms and is recognized for his focus on farmers' issues, rural development, and championing the rights of the common people. In the upcoming elections, his role will be critical as the INLD strives to regain its stronghold in the state's political landscape, especially in the face of competition from BJP, Congress, and the JJP.

Ahead of the 2024 polls, Abhay Chautala is focusing on consolidating the INLD’s traditional vote base, particularly among the Jat community and rural voters. His emphasis on pro-farmer policies, opposition to the BJP-JJP government’s handling of key issues, and his ability to rally grassroots support will be key factors in his campaign.
