US President Barack Obama is on his way out after completing two terms of his presidency this year. With Donald Trump as a very controversial president-elect, there are thousands who have already begun reminiscing about the 'People's President', especially by sharing these candid photos. During the eight years of his regime, he has seen the country experience innumerable ups and downs, economic recession, Osama Bin Laden's killing, same-sex marriage law being passed and the list goes on. Through the tough and serious times, official White House photographer Pete Souza captured candid moments of the President with his family members, at events, with children, with his staff, with the woman whose marriage he gate-crashed and what not. Souza released 100 pictures with captions and context as a part of his annual project "Year in Photographs" a while ago, a project which, this year, is going to be his last with president Obama. "Editing photographs, especially for a project like this, is both subjective and personal," he writes in a Medium post. “I not only found key historic moments from the year, but also chose moments that give people a more personal look at the lives of the President and First Lady," he added. Take a look at some of the best candid pictures from the past eight years.
