The first trailer of Shahid Kapoor's 'Haider', which released on Tuesday (July 8), left us spellbound. The plethora of emotions showcased by the film's cast in mere two and and half minutes was a marvelous act. Here's a look at the various moods of Shahid Kapoor, Tabu, Shraddha Kapoor and Irrfan Khan from the first trailer of 'Haider'.

Shahid Kapoor sheds his chocolate boy image to take up a very intense emotional role.

This particular expression grabbed our attention. In the last few seconds of the trailer, Shahid's acting reminded us of his very talented father and veteran actor Pankaj Kapoor. In this snippet, Shahid not only resembles his father but also reminds us of Pankaj Kapoor's sine act in Vishal Bharadwaj's 'Maqbool'.

The film is an adaptation of one of Shakespeare's finest tragedy 'Hamlet'. In this particular still we see how well Shahid emoting the dichotomy of his character. The sharp expression of anger is worth a thumbs up!

Shahid Kapoor has described the film as the most challenging role of his career. And we dare not disagree.

Shahid Kapoor has not only changed his physical appearance for the film, but is also said to have undergone immense emotional surrender to get into the skin of the character.

The second character that caught are attention was National Award winning actress Tabu. Tabu, plays Shahid Kapoor's stepmother, who develops a romantic relationship with him.

In an interview with The Indian Express, Tabu had expressed her excitement for the film since it's her reunion with the 'Maqbool' director Vishal Bharadwaj after a decade, “It's Shakespeare. It’s Hamlet. And then it’s Vishal and I. Exactly 10 years after Maqbool, I’m working with Vishal.”

Tabu, who is bang on with her expressions in the snippets, says, “You just have to find your relationship with your character.”

abu has never disappointed us with her acting and this time too, she is all set to deliver her best.

This conniving look was the winner!

Actress Shraddha Kapoor, who is basking in the success of 'Ek Villain' sure has another, glorious performance up her sleeve. Though there are few seconds devoted to the actress in the trailer dominated by Shahid Kapoor and Tabu, Shraddha definitely leaves her mark.

Never the least, Irrfan Khan, who plays Shahid Kapoor's father, whose murder Haider has to avenge also finds space in the first trailer. And like always, Irrfan has proved his mettle.
