Playing right into the hands of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant policies, the Republican Hindu Coalition organised fundraiser on Saturday included a skit where dancers were attacked by ‘Jihadists’ and saved by the US Navy Seals.
While in his keynote address, Trump focused on the relationship with India, saying that under the Trump administration, should he get elected, “Indian and Hindu community will have a true friend in the White House,” the event focused largely on staging a show on Bollywood music and proving the Hindu community’s allegiance to Donald Trump by a show of defeating ‘Radical Islamic Terrorism’.

In the short skit, two couples are seen dancing when they are suddenly attacked by a group of light-saber weilding Jihadists. These Jihadists take the dancers hostage while screaming in what appeared to be Arabic. They were eventually rescued by the US Navy Seals with dramatic music that includes the traditional shankh being played in the background.
After annihilating the jihadists, the US Navy Seals and the four dancers take the US pledge of allegiance followed by a dance to Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA.

The event also saw the performance of an Indian Michael Jackson. Prabhu Deva and Shriya Saran also reportedly performed at the event.
Trump’s address came after the performance where he applauded PM Narendra Modi and talked about furthering the relationship between the two countries. Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar also reportedly gave a taped address at the meet but it wasn’t immediately known what he spoke about.
