How US newspapers reported the brutal Dallas shooting episode

The United States witnessed killing of five police officers and two civilians when a 25-year-old military veteran who had served in Afghanistan attacked them during a protest rally against cases of racial killing against black community.

Micah Xavier Johnson of Mesquite, Texas said that he wanted to kill the ‘white’ police officers after cases of police shootings in the past.

The ambush style attack was carried out from an elevated position using two snipers. The Dallas police also said that the attack was very well planned.

President Barack Obama decided to cut short his Europe trip and he will be visiting Dallas early next week.
